Ski Bums

Playtest terms

Thanks for testing Ski Bums. This is an early test version ("the Demo") made by Atlas Studio, the trading name of Rory Kenneally (sole trader), Spain (contact: the contact on our website). By pressing "I agree" you accept these terms.

1. What you may do

1.1 You may install and play the Demo on your own devices for your own, non-commercial use, to test it and tell us what you think, until the Demo stops working on 31 January 2027.

1.2 Your playtest code is personal: please don't share it, the Demo's files or a download link. Each code is unique, so a leaked copy can be traced and switched off.

1.3 You're welcome to stream, record and share videos and screenshots of the Demo, including monetised ones. Please say it's an early playtest build.

2. What you may not do

You may not sell, rent or give away the Demo; copy, extract, decompile or reverse-engineer it or its art, models, music or code (except where the law allows this and it can't be excluded); use it to make another game; cheat in ways that affect other people; or remove notices from it.

3. Your ideas and feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback (in the game, on our website, by email or on social media), you agree we may use them freely, in the game or anywhere else, without owing you payment or credit, and that you won't claim rights over the game because of them. We read everything, but we can't reply to every idea, and we may already be working on something similar.

4. Gameplay data (optional)

4.1 Only if you tick "Share gameplay data", the Demo sends us information about how it plays: which runs and snow you ski and how fast, where and why you fall, how long you play and when you stop, whether you use a controller or touch and tilt, the device type, frame rate and crash reports, your answers to the short questions after a run, and your playtest code. The code lets us tell one tester's sessions apart and see if a code has leaked; it's the one link back to your playtest sign-up. The data doesn't include your name, email address, contacts, location or anything else on your device.

4.2 We use it only to improve the game, keep it for 24 months, and never sell it. You can switch it off at any time in Settings, and ask us to delete what was sent with your code at the contact on our website. Details are in our privacy notice, which is part of these terms.

4.3 You must be at least 16 to share gameplay data.

5. It's a test

5.1 The Demo is unfinished. It's provided as it is, may crash, may lose your progress, and may change or stop at any time. Don't rely on it for anything important.

5.2 We're not responsible for indirect losses, or for losses caused by your device, your other software or misuse of the Demo. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited (for example for gross negligence, or under consumer protection law), or takes away your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. Ending

These terms end on the expiry date, when you uninstall the Demo, or if you break them (then your code is switched off). Sections 2, 3, 5 and 7 continue after they end.

7. General

The Demo and everything in it belong to Atlas Studio or its licensors; this is a licence to use it, not a sale. Spanish law applies, without taking away the protection of the consumer law of the country where you live. We may update these terms for a new version of the Demo; you'll be asked to accept the new ones.

Version 1, 30 October 2026.
